PROLOTHERAPY – Provides a non-surgical treatment alternative for chronic pain and arthritis that is often caused from tendon ligament, or muscle strain or injury. It has been practiced since the 1950’s.

Prolotherapy gives ligaments, tendons, and joints a second chance at healing

when a joint is injured. Ligament and tendon insertions (where they attach to the bone) are often strained causing an inflammatory response which is a critical phase of healing.

By injecting a solution at the site of injury or degeneration, a mild inflammatory response is triggered in the body, allowing a second chance at healing by promoting growth of new healthy and stronger tissue. This can in turn help restore function of the degenerated or injured tissue having a significant impact on pain.

It may take several injections over 4-6-week intervals to achieve maximum result.

Prolotherapy uses the bodies innate ability to heal to relieve chronic pain, restore function and strengthen injured tissue. It has been found to be between 80-85% effective depending on the location of the treatment area.

What it is good for:

  • Ligamentous Laxity
  • Joint Instability
  • Acute joint injuries
  • Chronic joint pain in active/conditioned people
  • Chronic Headaches
  • Arthritis
  • Knee Pain
  • Sprained Ankles
  • TMJ
  • Meniscal Injuries
  • Low Back Pain/Sciatica
  • Sacroiliac Joint Pain (acute or chronic)
  • Degenerative Joint Disease
  • Rotator Cuff Injuries/Tears
  • Labral Tears (shoulder/hip)
  • Tennis/Golfer’s Elbow
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • Improved Tissue Integrity
  • Improved function
  • Arrest of further damage
  • Induction of Healing
  • Decreased Pain
  • Strengthen ligaments and tendons

TRIGGER POINT INJECTION THERAPY – Helps relieve muscle tension and is great for both acute and chronic tension. Some conditions that may benefit from trigger point injections are: sprains, strains, tendonitis, arthritis, frozen shoulder, TMJ, carpel tunnel, knee, hip, back and shoulder pain.

PERINEURAL THERAPY – We focus on the subcutaneous nerves that can be inflamed and irritated leading to pain. With low dose dextrose, we disrupt the pain cycle which decreases inflammation and allows the nerves to heal. For more information, click the following link. Neural Prolotherapy
