Regenerative Injection Therapy
We all suffer from pain at some point whether it is muscle pain, spasms, joint pain, arthritis, laxity of your ligaments from sprains or strains, that affects our quality of life. Are you ready to feel better?
Dr. Lisa uses a 3 step approach to address your pain:
Step 1 – Reduce Inflammation
Rarely do you we have pain without inflammation. Dr. Lisa will work with you to find the root cause of your inflammation and work with you to help reduce it. Whether it is from foods you are reacting to, chronic infections or some other cause such as environmental toxins, which can all contribute to increased pain and lead to eventual tissue degeneration.
Step 2 – Restore Integrity
We use multiple methods depending on what is needed.
TRIGGER POINT INJECTION THERAPY – Helps relieve muscle tension and is great for both acute and chronic tension. Some conditions that may benefit from trigger point injections are: sprains, strains, tendonitis, arthritis, frozen shoulder, carpel tunnel, knee, hip, back and shoulder pain.
PROLOTHERAPY – Provides a non-surgical treatment alternative for chronic pain and arthritis that is often caused from tendon ligament, or muscle strain or injury. It has been practiced since the 1950’s.
Prolotherapy gives ligaments, tendons, and joints a second chance at healing and when a joint is injured. Ligament and tendon insertions (where they attach to the bone) are often strained causing an inflammatory response which is a critical phase of healing.
By injecting a solution at the site of injury or degeneration, a mild inflammatory response is triggered in the body, allowing a second chance at healing by promoting growth of new healthy and stronger tissue. This can in turn help restore function of the degenerated or injured tissue having a significant impact on pain.
It may take several injections over 4-6-week intervals to achieve maximum result.
Prolotherapy uses the bodies innate ability to heal to relieve chronic pain, restore function and strengthen injured tissue. It has been found to be between 80-85% effective depending on the location of the treatment area.
PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma – PRP
Step 3 – Support Healing
It is imperative to provide the body with high quality food, minerals and vitamins to ensure long term healing following injections therapy. We will help guide you to ensure that you support your body during the healing phase and beyond.
